Moduflex Opens Second Site

The opening of the new workshop forms part of expansion plans that have been ongoing for the past two years. The last major expansion in manufacturing was four years ago when a significant investment was made on machinery to facilitate in house MFC manufacturing. This new site effectively doubles MFC manufacturing capacity and enables new machinery and staff to be housed more comfortably.

The new wood shop has been enhanced by the installation of high quality machinery from HOMAG UK including; a new beam saw, router and edge bander, equipped with the latest software for optimum design and manufacturing performance.

The additional space also makes room for a new MAZAK 250QT, a high precision steel CNC turning machine. The equipment will enable Moduflex to improve production efficiency, drive down inventory costs and will enable us to achieve our growth aspirations by allowing participation in bidding for larger contracts such as the local Hinkley C nuclear power plant building.

Moduflex recognise that the only way to stay ahead of the competition is to be responsive to client demands for new and interesting products, whilst keeping an eye on market forces. This has led to an investment in in-house product design skills, new staff and on new machinery. It is our intention to continue to manufacture heritage products to the highest possible standard, whilst introducing new products as and when required.
