This applies to any of our product range that is comprised of steel or chipboard, including mobile shelving, library shelving, picture racking, lockers, office furniture, or even bespoke projects.
What is Xcarb™ Steel?
XCarb™ certified green steel is made from recycled steel and is produced using 100% renewable electricity, meaning it has an extremely low carbon footprint.
XCarb™ steel is produced in an electric arc furnace powered by renewable energy, reducing CO2 emissions by approximatively 70% when compared to traditional blast furnace-produced steel.
The manufacturer of Xcarb™ steel, ArcelorMittal, plan to become carbon neutral by 2050.
In addition to this, our steel products are produced with up to 100% renewable electricity from our solar panels.
What is OrganicBoard MFC?
OrganicBoard, from Pfleiderer, is certified green chipboard made from up to 100% recycled wood. Biogenic glue is also used for maximum conservation of fossil resources.
The CO2 stored in the wood remains bound longer and actively contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gases and the protection of the climate.
OrganicBoard has been awarded with multiple sustainability certifications including Cradle to Cradle (C2C), The Forest Stewardship Council®, PEFC and more.
